So what's this site all about?  Why am I doing this?

Although my FAQ section answers this question in brief, I thought it would be best to answer it in-depth with this page.

Simply put, I believe God is on the verge of doing a mighty work in America -- mightier than any He’s done for over a century. I call it the Third Great Awakening.

No one can deny the fact that, over the past 40 years or so, America has gone through a severe moral decline. Whereas we once acknowledged God in government, education, and practically every area of life, most Americans now loathe even the mention of God and label Christians extremists, right-wingers, and bigots.

This is not what burdens my heart the most. What burdens my heart is that the people of God in America don’t seem to care that God requires them "to act justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with [their] God" (Micah 6:8). They daily indulge themselves in things of this world, rather than focusing on the One Who is their only fulfillment. That is made obvious in their daily lives. They give a few bucks a year to mission efforts around the world while spending thousands of dollars on unnecessary things, such as cars, TVs, radios, computers, and expensive food. They go to church, but instead of focusing on God, they focus on the church’s many activities, like sports leagues, miniature golf, going to theme parks, and so much more. They show up en masse for those fun activities, but when it comes to going out and visiting lost souls in the community, well, about five people turn out. In many cases, their church services are filled with singers and preachers who have the main goal, not of glorifying God through vocational ministry, but of entertaining the congregation.

The majority of Christians in the United States -- are they truly Christians? Yes, most are -- but they have bought in to the boasts of the 1st-century church of Laodicea. These are true Christians, but they have slowly grown complacent, and now seem to care more about their pocketbooks than prayer. They look out for number one, all right, and that number one is not God, to be sure. Now God is desperately trying everything to get through to these self-centered carnal believers, and they continually shut their ears to His attempts. It’s no wonder that God’s judgment hangs over this country like a sword held up only by a thin string. It threatens to fall at any moment.

But wait! The news is not all doom and despair! For God is making one final attempt to draw America back to Himself! He is raising up people all over this nation to daily call on His Name and ask Him diligently to pour out His Spirit and send a great revival. For that is the only thing that can save this country.

You, my friend, can become a part of this movement. Where do you start? I would start by reading the Committment of the Extreme Revivalist, and then ask yourself: Can I really fulfill this committment? If you can’t, you should examine your heart and ask God why you don’t believe you are ready to commit to it. But if you can, I encourage you to keep that committment and continually seek God’s will through prayer and reading His Word -- then fasten your seatbelts! It’s going to be a wild ride!
